This is my first review for CalExotics and I’m playing with possible formats to use. So, if you have suggestions, feel free to let me know.

The evening this toy was delivered was the first time I’d handled a “wand”. Keep in mind that I have limited exposure and experience with sex toys – so you will get a slightly different perspective from me — but I plan for each of us to have fun with these reviews. And, I hope that I can share some pros, cons, tips and maybe some offbeat suggestions that will help you find toys that would be the best for you.

So – a Crystal Chic Wand — initially, I didn’t have a lot of ideas for this toy, but that changed. I prefer to use my imagination and not to be swayed by other people, so I only read the cleaning instructions, which I’ll share soon.

My mini-miracle massager wand

My second toy to review from California Exotic Novelties is the My Mini-Miracle Massager Wand.

It’s a nifty waterproof wand that has a flexible tip that’s perfect for clitoral and vulval stimulation. It’s eight inches long from top to bottom and the tip is a mere two inches in length. And although the tip is flexible, I don’t recommend bending it too far as the resistance makes me think it would break.

It’s labeled as multi-speed but it seems to have only two speeds–low and high. The vibrations (courtesy of two AA batteries; not included) are pretty strong and might be heard through a blanket but not through a door. The polypropylene handle is small enough to get a good grip without feeling like you’re going to lose it. The PVC tip is nice and smooth and feels great on my skin. Angling the wand just right is not a problem.

The fact that the wand is small or “mini” makes it super easy to use in conjunction with insertable toys. I’ve used it alone and with other toys and the results are excellent either way. It’s perfectly suited for travel because of its size; just slip into a purse or a small bag/case and you’re good to go. It’s truly waterproof so you can use it in the shower or wherever there’s water. When cleaning I use my standard hot water and anti-bacterial soap. Since it’s waterproof you technically don’t have to remove the batteries, but I recommend that you do anyway as it’s a good habit to have.

I recommend the My Mini-Miracle Massager Wand from California Exoctic Novelties because of the convenience of its size and the strength of the vibrations. If you buy one I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Our first product we received is called The White Stork™. It’s very fitting that they sent this to us, The Love Birds.  So, of course, we love the name.  On the package, it states, “Indulge in the ancient Asian secrets.  Legend has it that the Asian White Stork brings happiness and health.”  This is a waterproof vibrator with a clitoral stimulator shaped like a stork.  When we first saw this vibrator, we knew it would have some power.  It has 8 speeds of both shaft rotation and clitoral vibration, each has 3 functions.  This vibrator also has 3 rows of non-jamming pleasure beads and requires 3 ‘AA’ batteries.

So, what did our testers (a couple) say?  Overall, they like The White Stork™.  Our female tester reported she really liked the clitoral vibration from the fluttering stork.  She especially liked how the stork’s speed and pulsing can vary.  She liked the general sensation of the vibrator but felt neutrally about the rotating pleasure beads or the secret Inner-G Arouser (for the G-Spot).  Both the male and female testers liked the fact that the vibrator is waterproof and felt it could be used as part of their foreplay.

California Exotics Intimate Foreplay Review:

The Basics:

The California Exotics Intimate Foreplay Kit is a small kit featuring a corded bullet with three different heads for use. The toy is plastic, so nonporous and is Phthalates and Latex free, as well as hypo-allergenic. Plastic is easy to care for; warm water and soap (preferably a toy cleaner) or wiped down with isopropyl alcohol. Easy as can be. I like that. An added plus to plastic toys is you can use any any lubricant you want without damaging the toys. Yay!

The kit included the battery pack which takes two AA batteries. I would have preferred no cord and for the batteries to be in the bullet, but that might have taken some of the strength of the motor away, so I guess it’s ok. The base of the bullet has bumps, which are not as hard as they look on the top of it for stimulation. Around the bullet there is threading where the other two tips screw on. The second tip is a finger tip with a rubbery area with soft nubs, and the third is a curved beehive shaped tip that is great for insertion. The whole kit is velvet-cote so it is soft and sensual, wonderful for partner play and romantic moments.

I didn’t care too much for the battery pack. It almost seemed cheaply made. The plastic is very light and the closure on the back had trouble staying closed a few times. The on/off is controlled by a circular control. Turn it all the way down and it is off, just turn it up to turn it on. The plus side of this type of control is the subtlety in changing speeds, I like the gradual change with no sudden stop and start again. The down side is that there are no other functions, only speeds. Also, if you touched it just so it would turn up or down. A light indicated when it was on, which is nice because if the bullet is not plugged in you will know if you accidentally turned it on. The cord also plugs in snugly, so it won’t just fall out while playing like some do.

How well it worked for me:

The Intimate Foreplay Kit by California Exotics offers up a powerful vibration. As well as the powerful vibration there is a loudness to it, but I will gladly take the noise in exchange for the vibration level. As I used the bullet kit, and I was pleased. It didn’t give me life changing orgasms or anything, but I did enjoy it. I used the first nubby tip as a clitoral stimulator. I found the bullet alone was a little bit too hard for me to use there, but it gave great vibrations to my nipples. The finger tip head provided a good vibration and was great for clitoral stimulation as well as insertion. With deep powerful vibes the fingertip head focused the vibrations through the nubbed pad on the flat side. The ribbed, for lack of better words, head was my personal favorite. The ribbed tip of the bullet offered up focused vibrations through the tip, which forced the vibes into a concentrated area. Because it is curved I was able to angle it more easily and use it easier than the other two as well. Know what else? It can hit your G-Spot (although bullets really aren’t made for insertion). Because of the size of the bullet and the tips you can get anywhere from 2.5 inches to 4.5 inches of insertable length.

Overall, I adored this kit! It is super cute, non intimidating for those newer to toys, and easy to use as well as has a ton of power! Even the packaging is great. A simple package showing a couple and the kit contents. Nothing disturbing, it is kept classic and clean. Even those new to toys would appreciate that. The are no instructions included, but I think the kits is pretty self explanatory. This is a great way to explore yourself and your partner. If you have never owned a vibrator before this would be a great starter kit. You get a bullet that converts basically to a vibrator with three different tips to experiment with.

A few safety notes:

*Be sure to clean your toys before the first use and after each use.
*Take you batteries out to prolong battery life.
*Please do not stick the bullet in your rear! Just because there is a cord doesn’t mean it won’t break off and you are stuck with a bullet in your butt. While the ER staff will be tickled, you will not be laughing.
*I don’t recommend this, or any corded toy be taken into water. It’s just a bad idea.
*I know this can be sanitized, but I always recommend condoms when sharing toys; better safe than sorry.
